Visited this location a few times in the past and have always had pleasant experiences. I ordered my food To go however decided to wait at the bar until my order was ready. As soon as I order my drink, the bartender comes immediately over with my check! Like dude how did you know I didn't want to order another drink! But you took your time bringing the other guy and the other couple Their check! I guess he figured I was going to run off and not pay since I was the only brown face at the bar!

I have eaten at Olive Garden many times in the past but just leaving a short review about dinner tonight. Me and my girlfriend ate at the Olive Garden in Cranberry Township, PA. First of all our waitress Carly was great. My girlfriend was chilly and she asked to turn the AC down, 30 seconds later it was turned off. She was attentive and just an all around good experience with her. Finally I have not been to OG in a while and was disappointed to see that the Spinach Dip was no longer on the menu. It was not a huge deal but one of the main reasons I visit. I talked to Kurtis the Manager and he explained the change but agreed that is was a great menu item. 3 minutes later he brought me a $10 Gift Card and told me to come back and try an appetizer on OG. Was not expecting that and he went above and beyond. Great experience and the food was really great this time. Will be back to this OG again and I will try another appetizer.

Olive Garden is always good. Great service. Great food. Always fresh. Good value. Go early, gets busy after 5.

Great food at a great price. The new buy one meal take one home for $1 is a great deal. They chill the 2nd meal for you to take with you. Great for dinner or lunch the following day. Sever was really friendly and knowledgable. He suggested the buy one take one meal deal.

I love Italian food - which is why I'm not a fan of Olive Garden. Sure, they purport to have Italian food but it's essentially Corporate Italian food - made for the masses in mass quantity. That to me is not how I like my Italian, or for that matter, any food. I actually understand the attraction though. It's not horrible, you get a lot of food (especially the endless salad), and it's reasonably priced. But let's not kid ourselves, it's Olive Garden. It's never on my list of places I consider when I think about going out to dinner. Did you ever look around when you're there? It's a lot of OLDER people. As an "older" person, I still have some dignity and I'd prefer to go somewhere that the sauce is homemade, the noodles are made to perfection, where it's not so crowded you have to wait in line to get in, and where I can bring a bottle of wine. My tastes buds haven't dulled to the point where I feel I need to compromise and just fill my belly. You'll find me getting my Italian fix elsewhere.

This is all FROZEN and reheated FOOD. Way off from true Italian homemade fresh. What a scam.

Although I could easily make a meal of the salad and breadsticks there is no way I would pass up Eggplant Parmagiana. It's lightly breaded with tender (not disentigrated) perfectly sized eggplant slices. The side of spaghetti is a bonus. Visited here on 5/8/14, not overly busy, our server was great.

I LOVE the mushroom (portabello) ravioli. I also love the salad and breadsticks. That's what I usually order, so please consider this review to be for those items, although my dh likes the lasagna very much. I just wish it wasn't always so busy!

Great service, food was ok. I had the sampler plate with Stuffed mushrooms, Calamari, and Chicken Strips. Calamari was not quite done. Mushrooms were just ok (wouldn't order them again) and the strips were a bit over done. :( The bread and the salad were good and the Peach Raspberry tea was good too. Everyone else at the table liked their food so maybe I am just picky or ordered the wrong thing??? The place was PACKED but the service was impressive, I would give this place another shot just because of the service we got.

I stopped in at this Olive Garden on my way back to Canada from Maryland. I sat at a booth by the bar. The bartender was friendly and brought my soup and salad out quickly and refilled my glass as needed. OG is always a solid stand-by for lunch and this location is no exception to that expectation.

I was feeling a bit sick one day and felt like having soup. I had the gnocchi chicken soup which was very creamy and delicious. It hit the spot. This is usually the only item I get when I go here. This location is also not that busy. I have been to other locations (Youngstown/Waterfront) and have waited up to 2 hours for a seat which is crazy. Also worth noting: The bathrooms here were disgusting. Also also worth noting: There were more employees working the day I stopped here than customers. Why couldn't they clean the restrooms?!!

It's Olive Garden. If you've really never been, it's decent pseudo-Italian food at prices that won't break your bank, and you have no excuse for leaving hungry. That said, it's Olive Garden. They're all the same. Been to one, been to 'em all.

My friend and I had the always delicious salad. She had chicken Parm and I had shrimp (?) mezzaluna ravioli . It was to die for. I also had stuffed mushrooms! The food was even better as leftovers for dinner! Staff was extremely helpful if perhaps just a little too much! My friend and I were catching up after 6 months and we kept getting interrupted! But, we are happy people!

Never have been much of a fan of OG...I guess it's the overall lack of freshness ranging from their house salad to their pastas. I'm not one to turn up my nose at their free breadsticks however :) If I'm in the area and everwhere else is packed, I'll stop in.

For a large chain they do a great job. Good food, lots of choices, great drinks and fantastic wait staff. Kudos for a big chain doing it right.

Oh soup, salad, and breadsticks how I enjoy thee... I was just here this week, got right in, had great service and enjoyed the Zuppa just like normal. It's hard to say a whole lot about chain restaurants but I had a good enough time with my brother and friend that it warranted a quick review. Recommended

The Olive Garden in Robinson is usually so packed that we tend to go to Cranberry if that's what we crave. Even if they are busy, we tend to find a seat the bar and have not been disappointed. Keep up the good work!

Worst meal ever. Hands down. Mussels were overcooked and pasta was undercooked. Horrible!

I still remember the first time I ate at the Olive Garden. It was way back in 1990 in Boca Raton. It was love at first sight. I was even more excited when I realized it was a chain and restaurants started popping up all over. And even though the passion has faded, I'm still a great friend of the Olive Garden. I welcomed the Cranberry Twp. location. This place is always busy, whether you are going for lunch or dinner. My favorite appetizers are the Sicilian scampi or the sampler with the toasted meat ravioli and fried zucchini. The salad is always mega fresh and yummy. For a nice change of pace, I high recommend the zuppa Toscana soup. It's the best soup I have ever eaten. Anytime I'm stuck at home with a cold, I send a friend out for my favorite soup. It always makes me feel a little bit better. I am also a fan of the eggplant parmigiana and the tour of Italy. Tonight I had the crab Alfredo Venezia. And although the crab wasn't exactly the huge pieces displayed on the menu, it was still good. I rarely have room for dessert, but try the lemon cream cake. It's yummy. Their peach raspberry iced tea is good and so is their strawberry Sicilano. Service is always good. Although purists scoff at this as unauthentic, commercialized, cookie cutter Americanized Italian, I say this place has it going on. I have always gotten a good meal here and good service and left feeling happy. Always. Don't forget the "to go" service. It's phone ahead, quick, easy, even reserved parking out front. I've tried to pass it off as my cooking a couple times. I feel so dirty. :o)

I don't go to The Olive Garden often, but when I do I never HATE it. I also never LOVE it. The problem with this place is that as you eat here, you feel really stabbed in the back knowing that the food you're eating was frozen less than a day ago. I'm not saying that other places don't do the same thing, but they also don't try to play it off like there's an elderly grandmother of the hostess overseeing the entire back of house ensuring that all the recipes from the old country are followed to a T. More often than not, I'd rather microwave a Marie Callander's frozen dinner at home. That being said, their soup is good and the servers are more than happy to let you drown yourself in it. I respect that they not only enable people to lose control over their better judgement to stop eating soups and bread sticks because their stomach is bursting at the seams, but also make money off of them doing so. Well played, Darden.

Over salted chain food. Somebody was having fun in the kitchen with the spices on my dish.

I feel a little lame saying this, but I've always been a fan of Olive Garden. I almost always get a solid meal here for a good price. Unlimited salad, soup, and breadsticks? UH, I THINK YES. I give the food here 3 stars, but since the service here was good - my waitress was quick and REALLY nice - I rounded up. The salad here was fresh and plentiful, and the soups were delish. I got two different bowls - yeah, don't judge me - the Chicken & Gnocchi (a must if you like creamy soups) and Pasta e Fagioli (think yummy chili). For my entree, I ordered the Ravioli di Portobello which was AWESOME. The sauce was delicious, and the filling was legit. If you're a fan of mushrooms, you need to try this dish! I'm also pretty sure it's low in calories? FYI: They have "healthy" options available on their menu. To end the meal, I got Zeppoli which was RIDICULOUS. Serious party in my mouth. One of the best desserts I've ever had. Keep in mind that I may be biased because I love donuts and hot chocolate sauce, haha. Anywho, I recommend going for lunch to get the best deal possible! I think dinner's a bit on the pricier side depending on what you order. Enjoy!

I visited this location because my family and I were staying nearby for the night as we were finishing our road trip from Chicago to Philadelphia. We arrived at 9:30, felt a little guilty about that because they close at 10. First, the breadsticks did not taste fresh and my brother's spoon that he received with his soup was dirty and something was stuck to it. And then my mother's lasagna was burnt but the manager was quick to come to our table to apologize and offer something else for free. The rest of our entrees were fine and our waitress was nice, although it seemed like she wanted us out of there because it was near closing on new years eve. The icing on the cake was that the manager also brought out free dessert and comped off our entire bill! I might be back, but that's if we stop in the area again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
